18 Days: Masai Mara | Serengeti and Zanzibar

 

Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National park.
Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park after breakfast, arriving in time for lunch at the camp or lodge as well as check in. Afternoon game drive takes you to the lake to view Flamingos and pelicans. Also, spot White/Black Rhinos, Rothschild Giraffe, Waterbucks and other kinds of African wildlife. The Lake Forest attracts a wide variety of birds. Day 2: lake Nakuru National park - Lake Bogoria
Morning games drives before breakfast and then depart for Lake Bogoria arriving for lunch as well as check-in at the resort. An afternoon game drive takes you to the Lake where you will have a view of the hot springs and have Sauna; witness the pink parade of flamingoes on the lake shores. Animals small and great reside together in the grassy thicket around the park, making game viewing a unique up, close and candid experience. The papyrus outgrowth spreads across thirteen ficus woodlands as the smaller animals wallow in the swamps and other game like: buffalo, zebra, cheetah, baboon, warthog, caracal, spotted hyena, impala, dikdik appreciate the occasional afternoon showers. Day 3: Lake Bogoria - Masai Mara Game Reserve,
Early morning game drive before breakfast then drive along the Great Rift Valley, passing by the extinct volcano of Mount Longonot en route to Masai Mara Game Reserve with game en route to the camp for check in as well for lunch. Afternoon game viewing in this fascinating wildlife paradise with a chance to view; giraffes, elephants, monkeys, leopards, lions, gazelles and different bird's species. Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve,
Spend a whole day viewing wildlife in Masai Mara Game reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Have a chance to see the "BIG FIVE": Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard. Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve- Lake Naivasha
Morning games drives and then depart after breakfast for Lake Naivasha arriving for lunch. Enjoy boat trip to the lake to view hippos, birds and other kinds of African wildlife (at extra Cost). Afternoon drives to the hell's Gate for more game viewing as well as enjoy cycling. Dinner and overnight at , (Full Board). Day 7: Green Crater Lake Walk
Breakfast will be at 7.00 am and you will be picked up by a driver from 'Kenya Walking Survivor Safaris' at 8.00am. The road to the Green Crater Lake takes you out of Naivasha and along a rough and bumpy road down the edge of lake Naivasha , passing by huge Greenhouses where roses and other flowers are grown for the export market. You will arrive at the Green Crater Lake at 9.30am approx and you will begin your morning game walk. The green crater lake was formed by volcanic activity. The group will walk in a reserve where its possible to get up close to Giraffe and many varieties of antelope.it's a great opportunity for photos.The guides will answer questions about the animals, birdlife etc and point out the rocks formed due to the volcanic activity.
Fish eagle inn lodge is a lovely lodge on the shore of Lake Naivasha and has a large resident bird population inc Ibis, superb starlig. Lovebirds, fisheagle and Hoopoe and is a great opportunity to see the Black and White colobus monkey.After lunch you will have some free time. You could sit back at the campsite bar and enjoy a cold drink and a game of pool or participate in some optional activities like cycling around the village or hire a small power boat for a trip out on to the lake. Day 8: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National park.
Early morning pick up from Nairobi Airport or Hotel then drive to Amboseli National park, passing through Masai land; game drives on the way to the camp for lunch as well as check-in. Afternoon game viewing starts at 16:00hrs. This Park is home of Elephants, Wildebeest (Gnu), Buffalos, Gazelles, Lions, Cheetahs, monkey families and rare bird species. Day 9: Amboseli National Park.
Spend a whole day in Amboseli National Park, with morning and afternoon game drives. This park is termed as an Animal's paradise. Visit Masai Village and learn their rich culture at an extra cost. Day 10: Amboseli -Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast you will drive out of the park with view of mt.kilimanjaro,Then drive to the boarder of Tanzania and Kenya  at Namanga boader,After the immigration clearance ,you will be transferred to lake Manyara  for its famous Tree climbing lions,You will arrive in for early game drive at 11am you will set your  early lunch then by 1400hrs you will leave for afternoon game drive.Fanaka lodge http://fanakasafaricamps.co.tz/


Day11: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park 
After breakfast , we will be transferring to the infamous Serengeti National Park. This park is to Tanzania, what the Masai Mara Game Reserve is to Kenya. Covering 14,763 sq km, the Serengeti NP is dominated by vast, open plains with an abundance of wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided en route, and the afternoon will be spent viewing game and absorbing the breathtaking scenery of the almost treeless plains of the Serengeti.

Day 13: Ngorongoro Crater
We will transfer to the Ngorongoro crater, via Olduvai Gorge. Ngorongoro is an impressive 20 km wide volcanic crater with 600 m walls. The views from the crater rim are breathtaking, and there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife, due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Olduvai Gorge is famed for the discovery of 3.5 million year-old fossil fragments of an early human civilization. Day 14: Depart Arusha (B)    2-3 hrs drive  250kms

After breakfast we will transfer back to Arusha for your fight to Zanzibar  ,In the afternoon arrive Zanzibar airport/ harbour transfer to Stone Town Hotel  for check inn, at 2:30pm have the Stone town tour takes around the historical culture and architectural important town of Zanzibar with a century history. It includes a visit to former slave market site, now stands as Anglican church built in 1871, town market, Visit the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, House of Wonder built in 1883 (Beit-Al-Ajab), old Arab Fort, Palace Museum, Old Indian dispensary (cultural centre) to Maruhubi Palace ruins via Living Stone House. DAY 18:

Morning at 8:30am trip to spice and botanical tour on this tour you will see and taste the tropical fruits, spices plantation or plots in the island.
A variety of spices plants used as ornament, medicines, flowers, fruits and another interesting flora can be seen during spice tour and visit to Kidichi bath built in 1850 by the first Sultan for his wife Sheharzad (grand daughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia), and then transfer to harbour/ airport for departure for your flight to Nairobi
